Behind the scenes at @wereldmuseum.amsterdam . Just one depot with just one collection with thousands of objects, most of which will never be studied or exhibited. As with most large museums, only about 1% of the collection is exhibited.

In slide 2, the shelves in the back hold cardboard boxes of mostly undocumented human remains, amidst ethnographic collections and taxidermied animals.

Slide 3 shows a warning: having been sprayed with the pesticide DDT (as was common practice a few decades back), many of these objects are now literally toxic to touch.
