What if Ancient Egyptian artifacts weren't just ob What if Ancient Egyptian artifacts weren't just objects of study or observation behind glass, but interfaces for kinship and communion?

Initial test for a more embodied storytelling interface. Here, when you dip your hand in a bowl of water, it triggers an animation. A design from a faience bowl (in the Eton College collection) draws out, showing papyrus, lotus, and tilapia; part of the Nile ecosystem that have been important to Egyptians for unbroken millenia.

Water and waterways, so vital to Egypt's many faith-groups, links us as kin across time, yet rooted in a specific place.
